Associate of ‘Dubai Pathum’ Arrested in Ganemulla

COLOMBO (News 1st); Authorities have arrested four individuals in two separate operations targeting drug trafficking networks in the Gampaha and Warakapola areas.

In Ganemulla, police apprehended an associate of the notorious drug trafficker known as “Dubai Pathum” during a raid in Thibbotugoda. 

The suspect was found in possession of approximately 300,000 rupees’ worth of crystal methamphetamine (“ice”).

Meanwhile, in Warakapola’s Pallepuran area, three more suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.

Acting on intelligence received by special task force officers, police seized 12 grams of crystal methamphetamine, four mobile phones, and a three-wheeler during the operation.

The arrested individuals are residents of Mangeddara, Mahenegama, and Ambagala. All four suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Warakapola Magistrate’s Court today (22).
