Seven Arrested Over Brutal Killing of 40-Year-Old Man

COLOMBO (News 1st): Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in the Irriyagahalinda area of Seeduwa. The incident occurred on the night of August 12, when a group reportedly attacked the victim with sharp weapons.

According to police, five suspects were directly involved in the killing, while two others are believed to have assisted or supported the act. All suspects are residents of the Seeduwa area, aged between 17 and 44 years.

Following investigations, police arrested the suspects in the Dummalasuriya area and recovered three knives believed to have been used in the attack.

The victim, a 40-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
