Rs. 13 Million Vanishes from Cash Van in Colombo

COLOMBO (News 1st): A sum of Rs. 13.96 million has reportedly gone missing from a cash transport van belonging to a financial institution in Bambalapitiya.

According to police, the van was carrying 15 bags of cash when one of the bags was discovered missing during a routine transfer between locations. 

The funds were being moved from a financial institution in Wellawatte to another location when the disappearance occurred.

Authorities have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, with Bambalapitiya Police leading the inquiry.
