Rohitha's Son-In-Law Gets Bail In Illegal Jeep Case

COLOMBO (News 1st); The son-in-law of former Member of Parliament Rohitha Abeygunawardena has been released on bail following a court order, inrelation to the illegal import and assembly of a Jeep.

On Thursday (31), Rochelle Abeygunawardena, daughter of former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena, was released on bail.

Rochelle was granted bail on two sureties of Rs. 2 million each.

The Chief Magistrate also issued a stern warning, instructing the suspect not to interfere with witnesses.

She is the main suspect in a case involving the illegal import and assembly of a Jeep.

The son of MP Jagath Withana, who is accused of purchasing and possessing the same vehicle, has also been released on bail.
