Explosions over Qatar’s capital amid threat of attack on US bases

The Ministry of Defence of Qatar has announced that Qatar Air Defenses successfully intercepted a missile attack targeting the Al-Udeid Air Base.

The Ministry has advised it citizens and residents to seek guidance and the latest developments from official sources.

According to Iranian State Media, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially confirmed that it launched a retaliatory missile attack targeting the US Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

The operation, it said, is called “Annunciation of Victory”.

The US is currently tracking the multiple missiles fired from Iran toward US military installations in Qatar and Iraq.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Caine are in the Situation Room, according to a White House official.
