Satellite Phone, Mobiles Found in Pillayan’s Batticaloa Office

COLOMBO (News 1st); Investigations are ongoing at the Batticaloa office of Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, also known as Pillayan, under the supervision of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Police Special Task Force (STF).

Authorities confirmed that the office, which was previously searched, yielded a significant cache of documents believed to be of investigative value. 

In addition to the documents, several mobile phones and a satellite phone were also recovered during the operation.

The CID is currently leading further inquiries into the materials seized, with the aim of uncovering any potential links to ongoing investigations.

Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan, is presently in CID custody and is being questioned in connection with the findings.
