2024 Electoral List to be Finalized by July

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission says the 2024 electoral list is scheduled to be finalized by mid July.

NEC Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake says the process of reviewing objections and appeals raised on the electoral list has already begun.

The reviewing process is conducted by the deputy and additional commissioners of the election commission.

The process is expected to be completed by the 30th of June.

Accordingly the commission says the Presidential election or any election held after July can be held under the respective electoral list.
