Exams Dept. probes circulation of O/Level English paper via WhatsApp

COLOMBO (News1st); The Department of Examinations said an investigation was launched regarding the circulation of the English language question paper of the GCE Ordinary Level Examination which was held on Thursday (09), via WhatsApp.
Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said the question paper was circulated via WhatsApp during the exam.
He said the questions were circulated via WhatsApp for candidates to copy answers.
However, the Department of Examinations said it did not affect the confidentiality of the English language question paper.
The Department has also launched an investigation regarding an alleged error in the Sinhala language question paper of the O/Level exam.
