Arrest in Navinna: 7kg of heroin seized

A suspect was arrested with more than 7kg of Heroin in possession.

The arrest was made during a operation carried out by the Crime Division of the western province south range, in Navinna, Maharagama.

The suspect is 45 years of age. 

Another 686 suspects have been arrested for the possession of norcotic substances.

The police say that 18 of the arrested suspects are being detained and questioned

06 suspects have been directed to rehabilitation centers.

Stocks of Heroin, cannabis and the drug ice have been seized by the police.
