Deadline to call for bids for sale of SriLankan Airlines extended again

COLOMBO (News 1st); The deadline to call for bids from local and foreign investors for the sale of SriLankan Airlines was extended for the fifth time.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Aviation said the deadline was extended until the 6th of March.
Bids were called from local and foreign investors for the sale of SriLankan Airlines last December, and the deadline was extended on four occasions.
Several SriLankan Airlines flights were cancelled in recent days.
Three SriLankan Airlines flights were cancelled yesterday as well.
