2022 O/L Exam begins; Over 400,000 candidates sitting for the exam

COLOMBO (News 1st); The 2022 G. C. E. Ordinary Level examination commenced on Monday (29).

A total of 472,553 applicants will be facing the examination across 3,586 examination centers.

Of the total number of applicants, 394,450 are school students while 78,103 are private candidates.

Over 4,000 personnel have been assigned for examination duty.

Students sitting for the examination have been instructed to report to the examination centers at least half an hour before the exam.

- Taking a mobile phone into the examination hall is prohibited

- Correction fluid (Tipp-Ex) and calculators are not allowed into the examination hall.

The Commissioner General of Examinations said that if any candidate is found to have violated these rules and regulations, one would be banned from sitting for the examination for a period of five year.
