Sri Lanka looking to drop construction material costs

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security, Nalin Fernando says that expedited steps will be taken to reduce the prices of construction raw material.

Accordingly, the Minister said that the prices of cement, wires and iron prices will be reduced in the near future. 

Minister Fernando stated that Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) personnel took steps to visit several cement companies and to calculate the price fluctuations made recently, and CAA officials took steps to obtain quality reports from the same companies.
