NFE Sri Lanka Holdings revealed as company registered in Feb

COLOMBO (News 1st); The company which signed the agreement for the transfer of shares of the Yugadhanavi Power Plant, NFE Sri Lanka Holdings, was registered in February 2022, says the Legal Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, President's Counsel Thisath Wijayagunawardane.

Attorney-at-law Thisath Wijeyagunawardane, speaking to media stated that upon further research which was conducted into the company NFE Sri Lanka Power Holdings LLC, which was revealed to be the company that was due to purchase 40% of the shares of the Yugadhanavi Power Plant, was registered in Delaware, USA on the 23rd of February 2021.

According to Attorney-at-law Wijeyagunawardane, the relevant company has been valued at $300, in addition to being a young company that which Sri Lanka is attempting to transfer 40% of the shares of the LNG Power Plant.

Moreover, Attorney-at-law Wijeyagunawardane says that based on the information available in the Cabinet Paper, there is no stipulated need to produce it to the Attorney General and there is no need to return it to the Cabinet, which is a gross violation of the country's law.

" This is most likely the most corrupt deal in Sri Lankan history," he stated.
