2020 GCE A/Ls: University admissions called from today (21)

COLOMBO (News 1st): Applications will be called starting Friday (May 21) for admission to Universities based on the results of the 2020 GCE Advanced Level Examination, the University Grants Commission (UGC) said. Applications will be accepted until the 11th of June 2021, Prof. Sampath Amaratunga, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission told News 1st. "A majority of candidates submit incomplete applications with very little attention to details. The 5th section of the University Admissions Handbook issued by the UGC is of crucial significance as it entails information on how to fill and submit the University Admission Applications," Prof. Amaratunga emphasized. As such, UGC Chairman Prof. Amaratunga urged students to carefully read the 5th section of the University Admissions Handbook prior to submitting the university applications. "It is mandatory that the university application be submitted online and also mail the application to the University Grants Commission via registered post," Prof. Sampath Amaratunga further noted.
