Maha Sangha will rise against abuse of power - Muruththettuwe Thero

Colombo (News 1st); "If anyone is attempting to abuse power against the mandate, the Maha Sangha will not hesitate to rise against it," warned Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Abhayarama Temple in Narahenpita on Friday (16).

"Some would try to silence us through intimidation, but we would not fear those attempts," said the Venerable Thero. Venerable Muruththettuwe Ananda Thero said that it is reported the Provincial Council Elections will take place no matter who opposes it, however, the opposition against the Provincial Councils will not die down, adding the voice against it will spread across the country.
