Circular to protect schools from COVID-19

Ministry of Education to issue a special circular containing instructions on how to protect schools from COVID-19 when they are opened

According to the Ministry of Education, it has taken steps to issue a circular tomorrow, with instructions on how to protect schools from COVID-19 when they are opened. Secretary of the Ministry of Education N.H.M Chitrananda said, the circular will be issued to the Provincial Directors of Education, Zonal Education Directors, all Principals and Provincial Health Department Officers. Accordingly, it has been advised in the circular to work out a plan to protect schools from COVID-19. The Secretary said, when the schools reopen, the parents of the students should be invited on the first week of school and a plan must be made in consultation. The circular has issued instructions on how to prepare the proposed plan. The circular will contain instructions on issues such as disinfection, water pipelines used to supply water for the students, and the number of students in a classroom.
