COLOMBO (News1st): The meteorological department has warned that heat levels in two provinces and five districts will reach 'extreme caution' levels on Wednesday. This will be experienced in the north-western, and north-central provinces and the districts of Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Trincomalee, and Monaragala, a heat index advisory read. According to the heat index, 'extreme caution' levels would mean that the temperature in these areas will range between 32 and 41 degrees Celcius. The state-run weather authority cautioned that heat cramps and heat exhaustion are possible, and that continuous activity could result in heat stroke.
