Car-free zone at Cinnamon Gardens today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police headquarters stated that vehicular movement along several roads in the Cinnamon Gardens Police Division will be minimized until 12 pm today(July 14). This limitation has been made due to the program “CAR FREE ZONE” organized by the collaboration of the Netherlands embassy and the Colombo Municipal Council. Accordingly, the vehicular movement is limited along the Green path road, C.W.W. Kannangara Mawatha, Independence road, Maitland Crescent, Sri Lanka Foundation Road and Sir Marcus Fernando Mawatha. Police urge the public and drivers to use alternative routes as much as possible during the period of road shut down. Meanwhile, Police advised the public to use alternative routes to bypass railway avenue crossroad along Kelani Valley railway from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm today due to maintenance.
