Patali Champika requests cabinet to be convened immediately

Colombo (News 1st): Secretary of the Jathika Hela Urumaya Patali Champika Ranawaka convening a press briefing earlier today (June 12) noted that yesterday's cabinet had a total of 104 cabinet papers presented. He noted the government must discuss these cabinet papers, without that there is no governance. They requested that the cabinet be convened immediately to discuss these papers so that the country can be returned to normalcy. When journalists questioned him about rumours regarding him contesting for the upcoming Presidential election, Minister Champika noted that some people think that they can gather the people at home and become the President. He said this time they have to build a country that prioritizes merit and skills. He noted that people decided on the policies and in 2020 it will be the same.
