Security tightened in Anuradhapura for Poson

Colombo (News1st) - A special security plan is to be implemented in Anuradhapura and its surrounding areas inline with Poson Poya. 10,000 security officials will be deployed for this purpose. 4,000 Police officers, 2000 Army personnel, 1000 personnel of the Civil defense force, lifeguards and intelligence officials are to be deployed inorder to beef up security in the area. Police noted, the security measures will be implemented in Mihinthale, Thanthirimale, Awukana, Vijithapura Sites and areas surrounding the reservoirs
