Stick together to see the crisis through-Venerable Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thero

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Mahanayake of the Amarapura sect Agrapanditha Most Venerable Kotugoda Dhammawasa Thero expressed that the April 21st attack did not impact only one community, it was an attack on the way of Sri Lankan life. The Mahanayake believed that if the confiscated weapons and explosives were used for an attack, the country could have ended in a blood bath resulting in loss of countless of lives. According to the Thero, still, the attacks managed to harm the peace that lasted ten years in the country. "Children are not attending school, Teachers can't go to teach at schools, devotees cannot go to temples, or churches, people don't have money in their hands it seems as if the country has come to a standstill" the Thero added. The Thero finally noted that if everyone were to unite under a common goal country could rise above the ashes in no time.
