Tim Ballintine from Australia wins IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo

Colombo (News 1st): Sri Lanka IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo was held today (Feb 24). The event saw 745 athletes from 58 countries taking to the streets of Colombo. The event was organised with the assistance of the Ministries of Tourism, Sports, Ports, Law & Order, and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. The race comprised of a 1.9km sea swim, 90km bike ride, and a 21.2km run. Tim Ballintine from Australia won the IRONMAN Male Solo event clocking a time of 4 hours 10 minutes and 13 seconds. Ling Er Choo of Singapore won the Female Solo event clocking a time of 04 hours 14 minutes and 39 seconds. The team representing the Sri Lanka Navy won Male Relay with a time of 4 hours and 1 minute and 14 seconds.
