Mahanayake of Malwathu Chapter request President to solve crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Mahanayake of the Malwathu Chapter, the Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thero in a letter to President Maithripala Sirisena has requested the President to intervene in the ongoing crisis, summon Parliament and take an immediate decision to resolve it. The Mahanayake believes that in doing so it would pave the way to take a decision that will be in accordance with the constitution and also protect the political integrity of the country. The Mahanayake adds that thereby, the collapse of all sectors in the country could be averted.
