COLOMBO (News 1st) - Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma says after spending million on the elections, there is a balance of Rs 9.4 Million. Deputy Minister of Sustainable Development, Wildlife and Regional Development Palitha Thewarapperuma stated that when there is a Parliamentary election, people would even sell off their own wives to win the votes, and posed the question how can they obtain another wife? He stated that he secured 118,000 votes in the Kalutara District after spending millions, Rs 9.4 million was saved.
